⏰ Timed Items

In our busy lives, it's important to keep track of time-sensitive tasks and events. With the help of the "Timed Items" pattern, you can easily add a specific time to your tasks and events. This feature allows you to specify a time for a task or event, ensuring that you stay on schedule and meet deadlines.

Time Indicator: β€’ [Time] - (Description Here) or β—‹ [Time] - (Description Here)

  • Indicates a specific time for a task or event. The time format can be customized to 24-hour or 12-hour (am/pm) based on your preference. The default time format is 24-hour.
  • Example Task: β€’ 14:30 - Call with client
  • Example Event: β—‹ 14:30 - Call with client

Note: If this format is used without a Date Section being present then the item will be set as an Undated Item.

Sometimes within our lives we need to percisely schedule things with both dates and tiemes. You can also specify both date and time for a task or event, ensuring precise scheduling using the pattern below.

Date and Time Indicator: β€’ [Date], [Time] - (Description Here) or β—‹ [Date], [Time] - (Description Here)

  • Indicates a specific date and time for a task or event.
  • Example Task: β€’ 2024-04-11, 15:00 - Project review meeting
  • Example Event: β—‹ 2024-04-11, 15:00 - Project review meeting

Example:

2024-04-10
β€’ 14:30 - Call with client
β—‹ 2024-04-11, 20:00 - Take out Trash

In the above example we have a task with a time of 14:30 ( 02:30 PM ) with no date. However the date section above it is on April 10th 2024 so the item is scheduled at 14:30 on April 10th 2024. The event below it is has an inline date scheduled so we ignore the date section above and schedule it for 20:00 ( 08:00 PM ) on April 11th 2024.
