✏️ Planit PatternsπŸ“… Dated Items

πŸ“… Dated Items

For many people, keeping track of dates alongside the tasks and events in their lives is essential. This is where the "Dated Items" pattern comes in handy. When you need to specify a date for a task or event, you can write the date inline with the entry. This keeps everything straightforward and organized.

Time Indicator: β€’ [Date] - (Description Here) or β—‹ [Date] - (Description Here)

  • Indicates a specific date for a task or event, the Date Formatting default is YYYY-MM-DD but you can change it in the settings.
  • Example Task: β€’ 2024-04-11 - Take out the trash
  • Example Event: β—‹ 2024-04-11 - Meeting with boss

Example:

β€’ 2024-04-11 - Take out the trash
β—‹ 2024-04-11 - Call client
β—‹ 2024-04-11 - Meeting with boss

In the above example all items are planned on April 11th of the current year, with calling a client and meeting with boss are events and taking out the trash is a task.

Note: You can update the "Date Formatting" in the settings to match whatever your preference is!
